A few years ago, the co-op participated in a national caftan competition -- something unheard of for a female only group -- and won. This did nothing but whet Fouzia’s appetite and since then, she and her team have been determined to increase their visibility. They’ve set their sights on Caftan du Maroc, a fashion magazine featuring the works of top caftan designers across the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. With every purchase of Fouzia’s products, she and her co-op are able to raise money to compete in more competitions and gain the recognition needed to achieve their goals.
